In Klondike Solitaire, your goal is to move all the cards into four separate piles called the foundation. Each foundation pile is dedicated to one suit—hearts, diamonds, clubs, and spades. Cards in the foundation must be arranged in ascending order, starting with the Ace and ending with the King.
To get your cards into the foundation piles, you will need to sort the cards in the area known as the tableau, from either the cards that are already in the tableau or in the stock pile. The stock pile are undealt cards that you will draw from through the course of the game.
In Klondike Solitaire, the cards in the tableau are arranged in seven columns, with the first column holding one card, the second stack holding two cards, and so on, increasing by one card, until the seventh and last stack, that holds seven cards.
Your objective is to arrange the cards on the tableau. Draw from the stock card pile to help free up cards that can go into the foundation. You can cycle through the stock pile as many times as you need.
You can only arrange the cards on the tableau in descending order, alternating between red suits (hearts and diamonds) and black suits (clubs and spades).
If you exhaust a stack in the tableau, you can start a new stack in the blank spot with a king of any suit.

Calculating your score
- Each game begins with a score of zero and your score will increase as you play through the game.
- Moving a card to the foundation = +10 points
- Moving a card from the stock to the tableau = +5 points
- Turning over a card on the tableau = +5 points
- Making use of the undo option = -2 points and lose any points earned from that move
- Going through the stock pile: -100 points for each cycle
- For every 10 seconds = -2 points
The win bonus is calculated as total points divided by the seconds taken to win a game. Remember, your score cannot drop into the negatives.
